Some AICAS partners conduct research, needs assessments, data collection on tobacco-related information to understand the community needs, gaps, priorities and reasons for underutilization of services and resources. The partnership's coordinated efforts can strengthen and expand tobacco treatment to underserved smokers, address prevention and treatment of e-cigarette use among youth, build community commitment and capacity to end the tobacco epidemic, improve the health and well-being of immigrant communities, and reduce long-term healthcare costs through education, prevention and counseling, and linkage to cessation services.
Partners share updates on tobacco-related policies, research findings, and smoking cessation efforts in their respective organizations during Quarterly meetings.
Resources are also shared through the AICAS Resource Repository site, which houses a wide variety of smoking cessation and tobacco-related information, resources, and tools to support knowledge and resource sharing among members of the AICAS Partnership. The Repository contents include health education materials for professionals and the general public, research findings, and AICAS member information.
All materials in the Repository, including but not limited to text, images, videos, and audio recordings and are the properties of their respective owners. This repository is a collection of publicly available online resources, and AICAS does not claim ownership over any of the materials.
AICAS members regularly discuss policy updates, collectively comment on pieces of pending legislation, and supports enforcement of current tobacco control policies.

CSP Connections Newsletter
The Community Service Plan (CSP) begins with a Community Health Needs and Assets Assessment, which is completed every three years. The CSP Programs are than designed to address these needs and to align with the New York State Prevention Agenda and New York City and Nassau County public health priorities. CSP Connections was created as a way to share the deep and far-reaching work that is being done by programs with the partners and friends of the Community Service Plan.
